A new study reports traumatic brain injury is associated with a higher risk of developing dementia in people of working age. However, the researchers found no association between TBI and other neurodegenerative diseases such as ALS or Parkinson's disease. Researchers hope their findings will improve rehabilitation treatments and long term monitoring of TBI patients.
